MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) — KBOI 2News got a sneak peek at Wahooz new Indoor Adventure Park just in time for winter.
“The big reason we built the indoor adventure park is Idaho weather," said Tiffany Quilici, marketing director. "This way no matter the weather—if its winter or hot summer—this is a place where people can come and enjoy indoor active fun.”
After seven months of construction, the countdown is on to the opening of the park.
The new Indoor Adventure Park is 17,000 square feet, four stories, and is a multi-millions dollar addition.
"It makes this the largest entertainment space in the Treasure Valley,” Quilici said.
The Russell Corporation of Meridian lead the multi-million-dollar project, which created an estimated 400 construction jobs and 50 permanent jobs at Wahooz, according to Quilici.
The expansion brings eight new attractions to the park. The Wahooz team traveled all over the country looking for the most fun and exciting activities to bring to Idaho.
“We have Clip ‘N Climb which is brand new to the Treasure Valley. It’s from Australia and it’s seven different climbing walls, but they are not like regular climbing walls they’re all different shapes and textures.”
Other attractions also include a three story ropes course, bumper cars, and a laser maze.
While the park will be fun for the entire family, Quilici says it is more than just an amusement park.
“The new adventure park is a place for families to come and play together, laugh, and make memories, and just forget about all the stress of daily life for a few hours. So it’s really a lot more than just amusement rides. It’s a chance to build connections and relationships with friends and family.”
Wahooz Family Fun Zone is now the area’s largest indoor family entertainment space at over 70,000 square feet. It opens Thursday, November 3rd.
